January 6, 2025On December 7, 2024, HOSPO actively participated in a high-level meeting held in Lasanod, Sool, as part of the global campaign 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. The event was spearheaded by the Ministry of Family and Human Rights of SSC-Khatumo and brought together representatives from both local and international NGOs, civil society organizations, and community leaders. T
he discussions focused on identifying effective strategies to combat gender-based violence (GBV), which remains a significant challenge in the region, and ensuring robust support mechanisms for vulnerable populations, particularly women and children who are disproportionately affected. Key topics included awareness-raising campaigns, strengthening legal frameworks to protect survivors, and creating safe spaces for those at risk.
As an organization committed to social protection and community empowerment, HOSPO contributed by sharing insights from its ongoing initiatives and emphasizing the importance of grassroots mobilization to address GBV. This collaborative effort underscored the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to promote gender equality, human rights, and safety for everyone in the community.
